No Room in Paradise is an intimate and moving portrait of life on the streets of Honolulu - home to the worst homeless crisis in America.

The film follows two families for more than a year as they struggle from sidewalk tents to subsidized housing. Along the way we learn the impact of addiction and mental illness, the huge cost of maintaining the status quo and what can be done to fix it.

No Room in Paradise premiered on the Hawaii affiliates of CBS and NBC and enjoyed a run of primetime broadcasts that garnered the attention of then-Senator, now Governor of Hawaii, Josh Green. In his words “it helped shift the focus on homelessness in Hawaii from a punitive to a healthcare lens.”

In 2018 the film broadcast on PBS stations across the country. It was nominated for a regional Emmy and won numerous awards.
